FCI PEDIGREE

Why the FCI pedigree matters for a German Shepherd puppy

A pedigree is not just a piece of paper. It is the document that makes the entire genetic history traceable — who the parents and grandparents are, their health records, and titles earned. Without a pedigree, you cannot know what line a German Shepherd puppy actually comes from.

What the FCI pedigree certifies

  • Breed membership — the specimen is registered in the genealogical registry
  • Descent from registered breeding dogs
  • Compliance with the FCI registration standard

7+ verified generations

At Casa Di Arancina, every specimen has at least 7 generations of verified breeding dogs behind it — HD/ED results, competition titles, and analyzed inbreeding coefficient.

DOCUMENTATION

What documentation a responsibly raised puppy should include

Regardless of the kennel, a responsibly raised German Shepherd puppy should leave accompanied by a complete file. The absence of any of the documents below is a red flag.

Mandatory documents

  • Official FCI pedigree* — internationally recognized, with family tree
  • Health booklet — vaccinations and deworming, signed by a veterinarian
  • Registered microchip — in the national and European database
  • Veterinary health certificate — issued on the departure date
  • Parents' HD/ED certificates — radiologically validated
  • Breeding dogs' DNA test — officially registered

Note about pedigree timeline

*The issuance of the FCI pedigree depends on the administrative procedures of the national club and may take a few weeks after litter registration.

HOW WE RAISE

How puppies are raised at Casa Di Arancina

A balanced puppy is not born by chance. It is built through decisions made before birth (pair selection), in the first days of life (ENS protocol), and in the first weeks (systematic socialization).

ENS Protocol — the first 16 days

ENS (Early Neurological Stimulation) is systematically applied between day 3 and day 16 of life. It activates the nervous system during the critical development window. The result: dogs with greater emotional stability and better stress tolerance.

Early socialization in a family environment

Puppies grow up in the home, with daily human contact, exposed to children, animals, household noises, and varied environments from the first week. Familiarized with basic commands before departure.

Data-driven selection, not appearance-based

Every pairing is documented: inbreeding coefficient, HD/ED results, titles in the line, longevity. We do not work based on visual appearance.
