Kennel — Responsible Breeding Since 2015
A kennel founded out of passion for the German Shepherd breed, not commercial interest. Registered FCI affix. Selection according to SV Germany standard.
OUR STORY
Who we are
Ciprian Gherghe — Founder
Casa Di Arancina was born in 2015 in Bucharest, from a passion for the German Shepherd that could not be contained. Not from a business calculation, not from the desire to capitalize on a market trend — but from an authentic relationship with the breed.
Ciprian Gherghe, the kennel's founder, works daily with the dogs — not just in the sense of care, but in the true sense of the word: training, temperament evaluation, fieldwork. This direct involvement influences every selection decision.
Casa Di Arancina's activity is not commercial, but guided by values: balance, health and the dog's usefulness in human life. We do not breed industrially. The term "kennel" is used exclusively in the sense of an FCI-registered affix.
HOW WE WORK
How we work with the dogs
The difference between a breeder who loves the breed and one who exploits it is visible in the details. One of those details is what the breeder does with the dogs outside the breeding program.
IGP, Protection and Tracking
The dogs at Casa Di Arancina are actively evaluated and worked in disciplines that test exactly the qualities the breed was created for: courage, stable nerve, working drive, obedience under pressure.
IGP (Internationale Gebrauchshund Prufung) combines tracking, obedience and protection — it is the international benchmark that demonstrates a dog has the real character of the breed. This direct field experience informs every selection decision.
Collaborations with recognized European kennels
Casa Di Arancina collaborates with some of the most serious kennels in Europe — relationships built on mutual respect, common standards and results demonstrated in the ring. Access to bloodlines with real international track records doesn't come from catalogs, but from years of active involvement in the breed world.
SELECTION PHILOSOPHY
How we select
The selection of breeding stock is the decision with the greatest long-term impact in a kennel. That is why we treat every pairing as an irreversible decision.
Selection standards
Casa Di Arancina meets the strict requirements set by CNGG and SV Germany. All active breeding stock hold:
- ✦HD/ED dysplasia certificates with A or B results
- ✦Officially registered DNA test
- ✦Breeding rights according to CNGG regulations
- ✦Authentic FCI pedigree with verifiable family tree
What zero compromises means to us
We don't breed a dog because it is beautiful or available. We breed a dog when the data — HD/ED results, inbreeding coefficient, titles in the line, directly evaluated temperament — justifies the decision.
Data-driven selection
Every pairing is documented and analyzed: inbreeding coefficient, HD/ED results, titles achieved, longevity in the line.
Holistic rearing — ENS Protocol
Puppies grow up in the house, with daily human contact, exposed to varied stimuli from the first week. The ENS protocol is applied systematically, with documentation for each puppy.
Total transparency
We show the parents' tests, the family tree and the breeding conditions. We have nothing to hide.
OFFICIAL ACCREDITATION
FCI Affix — Casa Di Arancina
The affix is the official name registered for a kennel at international level through FCI (Federation Cynologique Internationale). Not every dog breeder has an affix.
Casa Di Arancina, owned by Ciprian Gherghe, is the holder of the official affix registered with FCI, under the auspices of the Romanian Kennel Club.

COLLABORATIONS
European kennels and international bloodlines
Over the years, Casa Di Arancina has built collaborative relationships with breeders and kennels from Germany and other European countries with tradition in German Shepherd breeding.
These collaborations are not transactional — they are relationships based on respect for the breed and common selection standards. They give us access to bloodlines with verified international track records and information about genealogies you won't find in public catalogs.
Every breeding dog introduced into our program from these lines goes through the same evaluation process as any other dog: HD/ED, DNA, temperament, inbreeding coefficient. Prestigious origin does not exempt from standards.
LET'S TALK
A conversation about the breed costs nothing
If you're curious about the German Shepherd — whether you want to understand the breed better, find out what responsible breeding involves, or simply talk to someone who lives with these dogs every day — write to us.
We're not selling you a dog. We're offering you an honest perspective.
